Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have been called to GKN Aerospace in East Cowes the evening (Saturday).
Multiple fire appliances from several stations have been mobilised to reports of a fire at the business premises off of Saunders Way.
UPDATE @ 20:20 – It has been confirmed that crews were called at around 19:30 following reports of a smell of burning and fire alarms sounding.
3 fire appliances were called to the scene, along with an aerial ladder platform and a fire officer.
UPDATE SUNDAY – It is reported to Island Echo that water dripping onto electrics was to blame for the alert.
No fire was identified.
