Organisers of the Isle of Wight Festival have issued further guidance on the use of trolleys ahead of this year’s event.
As previously reported by Island Echo, a raft of new rules have been introduced covering chairs, blankets, bags and other items brought into the Main Arena and wider festival site.
In an update released this week, organisers confirmed that accessibility customers and those attending the festival with children will be permitted to bring a trolley into the festival site.
However, festival-goers are being advised that, during busy periods, stewards or security staff may ask for trolleys to be moved. As with chairs, they must not be taken beyond designated points within the Main Arena and must not block walkways or accessibility routes.
Attendees are also being encouraged to avoid entering busy areas with a trolley and, where possible, use foldable models that can be packed away when required.
Festival organisers say the measures are designed to help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone attending this year’s event.
