UPDATED: Park Road in Wootton has been closed for emergency tree maintenance works this morning (Friday).
Island Roads say that the cut-through road has been closed for its entire length between Lushington Hill and Whiterails Road (Briddlesford roundabout).
High winds this morning are thought to have caused damage to trees lining the carriageway.
Motorists should divert via Station Road and Lushington Hill in both directions.
UPDATE @ 15:11 – Park Road has now re-opened in both directions following completion of works.
