
Emergency services have been called to an injured adult in Yarmouth this evening (Wednesday).
Needles Coastguard Rescue Team, Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have all been called to the beach near to Fort Victoria.
2 fire appliances – 1 from Newport and 1 from Freshwater – along with the Rescue Tender from Newport were called to the scene shortly before 18:00.
An ambulance, Paramedic Officer and a Co-Responder from Freshwater have also attended the scene.
All 3 emergency services worked together to get the female to the awaiting ambulance.
She has now been left in the care of paramedics and is on her way to St Mary’s Hospital.
Emergency services are now standing down from the incident.
