A Ryde man who was caught drink and drug driving in Nottingham last Summer has been sentenced in a mainland court.
Daniel Bartram, 33, now of Harding Road in Oakfield but previously of Western Boulevard in Nottingham, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates Court on 13th February for drug driving (cocaine) and possession of a controlled drug of Class A (cocaine) – offences he pleaded guilty to.
It was on 31st August last year that Bartam got behind the wheel of a Ford Focus on Coleby Road, Nottingham whilst over both the drink and drug drive limits. He was found to have 90 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, against the limit of 35, and 39ug/l of cocaine per litre of blood – with the prescribed limit being 10ug/l.
Bartram was convicted of drink driving on 3rd October last year, receiving a 22-month driving ban, a £120 fine and costs of £85 with a £48 surcharge.
Appearing in the dock again last week, Bartram was further convicted of drug driving and possession of cocaine, for which he received a 12-month driving ban and another £120 fine.
