Police have issued a wanted appeal to locate a man they wish to speak to in connection with a serious assault in Ventnor last month.
Police want to speak 25-year-old Lewis Morera-Morgan after a 28-year-old man was assaulted on Albert Street, Ventnor, on Wednesday 10th September leaving him with a fractured skull.
Officers have been following various lines of enquiry to locate Lewis, and are now asking the public for their help.
He has links to Ventnor and Binstead – and we have received reports that he has been sighted in Ryde and Bembridge over the last month. We believe that he is still on the Isle of Wight.
Lewis who is shown in the attached picture is described as:
- 6ft 3inchs tall
- 25-years-old
- Heavy build
- He has brown eyes and a beard
- He is right-handed
- He has tattoos on his arms and hand
A Police spokesperson has said:
“If you have seen him, or have information regarding his whereabouts, please do not approach him and instead contact police on 999 quoting 44250409486.
“You can also submit information to us online here: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111, or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
“We would like to remind people that anyone found to be harbouring Lewis to deliberately obstruct our attempts to locate him may be committing an offence and be liable for arrest themselves.”
