UPDATED: MINOR DELAYS IN LAKE FOLLOWING 2-CAR COLLISION

Motorists travelling in the Lake area are facing minor delays following a collision near to the Tesco store this evening (Monday).

Emergency services including police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are at the scene on Lake Hill where it’s understood that 2 cars have collided.

It’s said that one car appears to have collided with the rear of another causing extensive damage to both vehicles.

The extent of any injuries is not known.

UPDATE @ 19:40 – It’s now known that 2 people have been treated for injuries by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.

Both cars have sustained significant damage, with one car described by its owner as ‘written off’.

The scene has now been cleared.

The only dangerous thing about that junction is the idiots who dont concentrate on their driving as is obvious with the account given here.
