Motorists travelling in the Lake area are facing minor delays following a collision near to the Tesco store this evening (Monday).
Emergency services including police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are at the scene on Lake Hill where it’s understood that 2 cars have collided.
It’s said that one car appears to have collided with the rear of another causing extensive damage to both vehicles.
The extent of any injuries is not known.
UPDATE @ 19:40 – It’s now known that 2 people have been treated for injuries by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Both cars have sustained significant damage, with one car described by its owner as ‘written off’.
The scene has now been cleared.
Business as usual, another one will be along soon….cars don’t crash, people do..
