Volunteer crew members of Ryde Inshore Rescue were tasked with assisting a 30ft cabin cruiser suffering engine failure last night (Monday).
The team was called into action by HM Coastguard at 19:50 after an emergency message was received from the 2 people on board the boat, which was floating with the tide just off of the coast of Ryde.
Ryde Rescue crew quickly located the vessel and established a tow, with the stricken vessel being taken to the Royal Victoria Yacht Club at Fishbourne and secured alongside a pontoon.
Ryde Rescue 1 returned to its base at Appley by 22:00.
