A brand new talent showcase event called ‘The Island’s Got Talent’ has been launched by Cowes Fringe in a bid to discover and celebrate the Isle of Wight’s next big stars.
Set to take place at East Cowes Town Hall on Sunday 1st March 2026, the event is open to performers aged 8 and over, including adults. Musicians, singers, bands, comedians, jugglers and other types of performers are all encouraged to apply.
The Island’s Got Talent is designed as a daytime event with a fun, supportive atmosphere. It aims to give young people and emerging artists the chance to showcase their skills, gain stage experience and connect with the wider Cowes Fringe community.
Performances will be judged by a panel of 4 respected local figures: Nigel Hartley MBE, Rob da Bank, Hannah Brear and DJ JAMRoKi.
One standout performer will be selected to appear in the main Cowes Fringe programme as part of the Mountbatten Gala evening in May.
The event is free to attend on a drop-in basis, with audience seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to performers.
Applications are open until 31st January 2026. Full event details and the application form can be found at: www.cowesfringe.com/theislandsgottalent
