UPDATED: The Cowes Floating Bridge service between East Cowes and West Cowes has been suspended this morning (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Council are reporting that the vessel has suffered a malfunction.
Floating Bridge No.6 is currently moored up on the Cowes side of the River Medina and remains out of action for the time being.
A passenger launch service is expected to be in operation within the next hour.
It is unknown when the regular Floating Bridge service will resume.
UPDATE @ 12:20 – The Cowes Floating Bridge is now back in service, according to the Isle of Wight Council.
