FOUND: Alesha Bishton has now been located safe and well. Thank you for sharing this appeal.
Police and family members are searching for 12-year-old Alesha Bishton from Shanklin, who hasn’t been seen or heard from in almost 48 hours.
Alesha was last seen in the Shanklin area at around 19:00 on Friday evening.
It’s thought that the 12-year-old may be in the company of teenagers and could possibly have travelled to the mainland.
However, Police say that Alesha has been out of contact and not been seen for 2 days and therefore they are growing increasingly concerned about her.
Alesha is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, slim with shoulder length dark brown hair and blue eyes. She may be wearing a black padded jacket, white Air Force trainers and carrying a black leather shoulder bag.
Hampshire Constabulary is asking anyone who has seen her, or knows where she is, to make contact with police immediately.
If you see her, dial 999 and quote 44220220719. You can also contact 101 and quote that reference number if you have any additional information that you believe could assist enquiries.
Whilst I really hope that she is found quickly and is safe and well, it has to be said that she looks a LOT older than 12 in the 2nd picture. If my daughter looked like this at 12 years old I wouldn’t let her out of my sight for one second.
