Police, HM Coastguard and Gosport Independent Lifeboat have been involved in a search of Ryde Esplanade this afternoon (Saturday).
Hampshire Constabulary say they were called at 12:58 to reports of a concern for welfare.
The assistance of Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and Gosport Independent Lifeboat in searching the seafront area was requested. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were also called to the scene, rendezvousing at Ryde Pier.
The man has now been located.
