Community donor Jamie Hindson has continued his mission of giving back across the Isle of Wight by making his July £100 donation to Haylands Farm, a Ryde-based charity supporting adults with additional needs.
Jamie, 34, visited the Slaters Road centre earlier this month where he was welcomed by Deputy Manager Jody, who gave him a tour of the facilities and introduced him to staff and clients. Haylands Farm provides social care and respite services for adults with additional needs.
Jamie has said:
“I met Jody, she showed me round the facilities and centre. I was blown away with the work they deliver and the determination she, colleagues and clients have for the centre.
“It was an absolute pleasure to meet and hand over this donation to them – they really do amazing stuff to support with additional needs.”
Reflecting on his visit, Jamie added:
“It was amazing to meet Jody, staff and clients at Haylands. I got a nice greet from Jody and clients. Jody explained how the centre runs and what they offer. I explained my reasoning for donating £100 each month to charities, hoping to make a small difference to young people’s mental health.
“I would like to thank Haylands for showing me round and explaining all about it. I wish them every success.”
Jamie’s monthly donation initiative for 2025 is set to run until December, with each contribution going towards a charity or service that supports mental health, wellbeing, care or community outreach on the Isle of Wight. His campaign so far has included visits and donations to:
- January: Mountbatten Isle of Wight – Newport
- February: Better Days Café – Ventnor
- March: Care In The Garden – Wootton
- April: Daisy Chains – Island-based
- May: The Holt – Newport
- June: The Way Forward – Newport
- July: Haylands Farm – Ryde

Well done Jamie.
