Search and rescue teams have taken up position at Culver Down near Sandown this morning (Friday) – but the incident has been brought to a swift and safe conclusion.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were mobilised to the beauty spot overlooking Sandown Bay at around 11:15.
The tasking followed concerns for the welfare of an individual.
Thankfully, Police have been able to alleviate those concerns and the search has been called off.
