The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and a Co-Responder have assisted a fallen individual on the sea wall at Bouldnor this lunchtime (Monday).
Paramedics rushed to the adult male’s aid following a 999 call shortly before 11:45.
The multi-agency operation has resulted in the man being transferred into an awaiting ambulance.
A spokesperson for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency has said:
“At 11.20am today (29 July), HM Coastguard received a 999 call requesting assistance for a person in difficulties who had fallen on the rocks east of Yarmouth harbour, Isle of Wight. The Needles Coastguard Rescue team and the Isle of Wight ambulance service attended. The person was taken into the care of the ambulance”.
I really do hope the gentleman who fell is ok. I was caught up in the traffic. I really felt sorry for the emergency services attending they had very little choice but to park on the pavement very little room to work due to the SELFISH car drivers who dump there cars along the main Yarmouth road. the council really needs to get there backsides moving and double yellow line this road up to bouldner. Why these selfish people park on the main road everyday it causes chaos when round the corner there is adequate parking along thorley road which is less busy if they want to be cheap skates and don’t want to pay parking.

I agree regards the parking on this particular piece of road – the cars are probably belong to people who work in Yarmouth or go to the mainland either to work or for pleasure, most of the time it is the same cars – they are causing a hazard for all using the road, I have seen a lot of near misses because drivers won’t wait and give way in either direction. This has happened since parking charges increased and time limit was applied to the boulder viewpoint parking. I wonder how long before the parking continues up through to boulder as there is nothing to say people can’t park there either. Perhaps the cheapest way is to make the whole road a clear way as the council are saying that the cost is in the region of £4,000 to put yellow lines in this particular area. Cheaper to put up a cover all clear way sign?
As Steven says if you’re too tight to pay parking find somewhere else where you won’t create an accident waiting to happen.
Stop getting so crabby about these shellfish drivers.
