Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service on the revetment between Sandown and Shanklin last night (Wednesday).
A walker had fallen down the cliff steps at Lake, close to The Strollers Cafe, sustaining several injuries.
Due to the location of the casualty, paramedics requested the assistance of the Coastguard in moving the woman to the awaiting ambulance.
The injured lady was conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
