The Elim Pentecostal Church on the Roundabout, at Coppins Bridge in Newport, has reacted to the disappointments of Sunday’s defeat in the Euro 2020 final by reminding the people of the Isle of Wight that God loves us all.
The 3 unsuccessful penalty takers, Saka, Sancho and Rashford, had reportedly been subjected to a torrent of racist abuse on social media, blaming 3 players for England’s defeat.
However, the church sent out the following supportive message to the players: “God loves you Saka, Sancho and Rashford.”
The church also put out the following message on their website on Monday, following England’s unfortunate loss:
“Good morning, after the disappointments of last night thank God for eternal, unchanging hope and unconditional love in Jesus.”

and the successful players who scored – what about them?
more virtue signalling
clearly they are indicating that their god doesn’t love the players who scored penalties, by the fact that they have excluded them from the message.
these overpaid players missed a penalty, they haven’t suffered a fate worthy of actual sympathy, so why all the bandwagon jumping, drivel.
