A public exhibition and consultation of plans to redevelop Christ the King College in Carisbrooke under the Government’s Priority Schools Building Project (PSBP) is to launch on Thursday (21st April).
It is proposed to replace the existing array of buildings on both the lower and upper college sites (not including the sixth form building) with a consolidated brand new 1,350 place school for 11 to 16-year-olds. There will be a new 2 and 3-storey school building with new sports facilities and parking areas.
The education Funding Agency is delivering the PSBP and has appointed Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd., the main contractor, along with their design team, to deliver a vision for the school that is being developed through consultation witht he school, staff and governors, alongside the expertise of the EFA and their Technical Advisors.

Everyone is being invited to Chris the King College (Upper Site) on Thursday 21st April between 16:30 and 20:30. All visitors should report to reception on arrival.
For anyone unable to make the evening, the plans will be on display in the school reception on the Upper College site on 22nd April and the 25th April between 09:30-14:30.
