A car that has been stopped by Police twice today (Monday) and has twice been found to be driven by a suspected drug driver has now been seized.
Local officers stopped the blue Hyundai earlier in the day and arrested the driver on suspicion of drug driving having provided a positive drugs wipe for the presence of either cocaine or cannabis.
Now, just hours later, this time in Yarmouth Town Square, the same vehicle has been stopped by the High Harm Team.
It has been revealed that the second driver has also been arrested on suspicion of drug driving, as well as driving whilst disqualified.
The car has now been seized by Police.

Why was the car not seized the first time ?
At a guess most probably the first driver (the owner) was insured and the second driver was not
My argument exactly
Play stupid games…
Crush it. Plain and simple.
It’s a Hyundai, definitely needs squashing!
probably more reliable than your car
Along with Audio BMW Fiesta and Ford Focus….idiots love them all..
Why?
It’s not as if the offender would be upset by it. As it wasn’t impounded at the first stop it is obviously roadworthy. Sell it off or give it to someone who needs a car (e.g a care worker). Would still deprive the offender of the use of it and they would still lose whatever they paid for it, but it would help out someone else.
I expect the finance company might have something to say about that…
And they wouldn’t have anything to say about it being crushed?
With both of them in it.
Why not just seize the vehicle after the first drug driving offence???
It must have been insured for the first driver arrested but not the second driver arrested simple.
Right now crush it !!!!
And that would serve what purpose, exactly?
Give it to an essential worker who needs a car.
Why block out number plate, members of public might be able to shed light on what else they been up too !.
Agree. The photo was taken in a public place so there are no privacy issues
I used to love The High Harm Team back in the 90s. Great tunes and excellent management from Pete Waterman. Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be.
I always preferred the music of the Police
What’s wrong with these people? So you think you can get away with driving whilst disqualified. Ha Ha busted! Another excellent job by the Police. Well done.
Smoke weed everyday
Yep that’s what the idiots think till they crash and hurt themselves, loved one or child or worse kill . Lock them up is best place.
I’ve told the police about a drug driver, he’s already known to them and right near a junior school which he speeds past at 8.30 in a morning ( he’s not on his way to work by the way, he’s never worked, he’ll be on his way to get his drugs for the day) . The police are not bothered ,but when he crashes into a load of kids I will be going to the press and telling them how many times he’s been reported but it will be too late by then but I’m at a loss as to what more I can do when nobody is listening!
Ditto. We have been reporting motorbike drug dealers at work in West Wight for years now, they have never been challenged, even once.
The Police have proved totally remiss in their responsibilities and neglectful – yet what can one do ?
In the meantime drugged people, including children are seen everywhere… surely the Police should be held accountable by someone.
Then end up with a brain like yours.
And the sentence will be he’ll lose the licence he hasn’t even got , justice in this country needs a complete review no wonder everyone wants to come here.
That’s great, but why when you tell them about a drug driver along with reg numbers and times of drug drop offs nothing is done ?
Tip of the iceberg. We are still far below the levels of roads police we had five years ago. Bob has a lot to answer for, guess nothing will happen till someone he knows is hurt on the roads. It’s anarchy out there, people driving as they please.
Crush it then charge idiot driver for the service!
