A car has left the carriageway and crashed into a garden fence between Wroxall and Ventnor this evening (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the scene in Upper Ventnor, close to Rew Lane, shortly before 20:25.
Firefighters from Shanklin are currently on scene alongside Police.
The female driver is reported to have experienced the ‘locking up’ of the vehicle’s wheels on a corner. She is not thought to be seriously injured, but an ambulance has been called to the scene.
The road remains open but there are delays in the area.
