Emergency servies have responded to reports of a car crashing off the road and into a field between Shanklin and Ventnor this afternoon (Sunday).
Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to Bonchurch Road near Cowleaze Hill at around 13:00 when a Toyota Corolla careered off the carriageway.
Thankfully, the male driver of the vehicle escaped any serious injury and emergency crews were swiftly stood down.
Recovery of the vehicle is being organised privately by the owner, who is thought to reside in Bonchurch.
