Captiva Homes has been recognised at the South Coast Property Awards 2025, receiving the title of Progressive Property Business of the Year and being shortlisted for 2 additional awards at the high-profile regional event.
Now in its ninth year, the awards – held at the Hilton Utilita Bowl in Southampton – highlight the most innovative and community-focused property companies across the South Coast.
Captiva’s Lily Cross Farm development in Godshill was shortlisted for Residential Development of the Year for its careful design, strong environmental credentials, and its focus on meeting the needs of local people, offering a mix of homes that support families, first-time buyers and downsizers alike.
In the Property Deal of the Year category, Captiva’s partnership with Sovereign Network Group, which is helping to deliver much-needed affordable homes on the Island through a locally focused and collaborative approach, was shortlisted.
But it was Captiva’s ‘exceptional dedication to affordable housing, energy-efficient solutions, and a values-led approach to development’ that saw the Bembridge-based firm take the title of Progressive Property Business of the Year.
James Pink, Director at Captiva Homes, has said:
“We’re proud to be recognised by industry peers and judges who see the long-term efforts our team is making to build homes that are sustainable, well designed and fit for Islanders. It’s an honour to be shortlisted alongside so many respected names in the sector, and to receive the award for Progressive Property Business is a real boost for everyone involved.”
Captiva’s homes all meet EPC A ratings and include sustainable technologies such as air source heat pumps and underfloor heating. The company also reinvests in local ecological initiatives, including rewilding over 56 hectares of land on the Isle of Wight. The upcoming Captiva Academy, launching Summer 2025, will provide apprenticeships, training and employment opportunities for local people.
