Bembridge RNLI’s Inshore Lifeboat was launched to locate and assist a capsized dinghy close to the entrance of Bembridge Harbour.
The D-class RNLB Norman Harvey launched earlier this evening at 17:30 at the request of HM Coastguard to locate and assist a capsized dinghy that had been reported as being in difficulty close to the entrance of Bembridge Harbour.
It did not take the Norman Harvey long to reach the area, however, by the time they did the dinghy in question had already made it safely back to shore accompanied by a local Club Safety RIB.
The Norman Harvey then returned to Lane End and was recovered by 18:00.
