UPDATED @ 15:20 – DUE to the overrun of overnight planned maintenance, Red Funnel regrets to announce the following sailings have been cancelled on its Southampton/East Cowes service today.
The remaining 2/3rds of today’s timetable will operate as scheduled.
Customers are being contacted to re-arrange their bookings and any guests who are worried about their travel plans should call 0844 844 9988.
Foot passenger tickets for this route will be accepted on the Red Jet Southampton/West Cowes service which is unaffected and operating normally.
Red Funnel would like to apologise to all guests who are affected by the disruption today.

UPDATED @ 15:20 –
Please be advised that the technical issue that led to the cancellations today between Southampton and East Cowes has been resolved. It will take a little time for the timetable to slot back into place but everything possible is being done to minimise delays. The Red Jet (Southampton/West Cowes) service remains unaffected.
Traffic in East Cowes has built up due to the earlier cancellations and is causing some considerable delays. Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are currently in the town assisting the flow of traffic.
Once again, Red Funnel would like to apologise to guests and other road users for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations which were due to the overrun of overnight engine maintenance on Red Falcon.
