The body of a 60-year-old man was found at a property in Little London, Newport yesterday afternoon (Sunday), prompting a Police response.
Police were deployed to an address on the banks of the River Medina at 13:04 following the sudden death of the male.
Officers stayed at the scene for several hours.
However, Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner in due course.

To much pot !!!! RIP
you are a sick apology for a human being.
Not one of the best comments I’ve ever seen.
Have some respect
R.I.P
Condolences to his family & loved ones.
Whoever of this chaps family ends up being contacted by the Coroner, brace yourself. She spoke about the death of a member of my family as if she was speaking about fish. A person in such a position, ought to be able to covey an element of Empathy, even if she had never suffered a loss herself. Failing that, then surely a element of Sympathy wouldn’t be to much to ask & maybe the ability to use the name of a late individual. Their name was given to be used through life & that doesn’t stop being used after passing away. Educated I have no doubts. But still a lot to learn, regarding the position held.
