The body of a man – believed to be missing 74-year-old Kenneth ‘Tony’ Gwynn – has been found on the beach at Bouldnor, Police have confirmed.
Hampshire Constabulary say that the body of a man was located at Bouldnor Beach to the east of Yarmouth yesterday (Monday).
Whilst formal identification procedures are ongoing, Kenneth’s family has been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Tony was last seen on Wednesday morning (1st June) at around 06:00 in a car park near Market Square in Yarmouth. 14 hours later Police launched a public appeal and a large scale search followed.
WightSAR, HM Coastguard and the National Police Air Service helicopter had all been involved in the search for Tony, but they failed to locate any sign of the pensioner.
