“A total of seven bids were made for Seven Gables, with the digital gavel coming down on a final bid of £601,000, close to the guide price.
“Whilst it is considered that Seven Gables offers scope and potential for a number of future uses, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable, we are not privy to any plans the new owner may or may not have.”
Re-available properties include a detached thatched cottage in Kingston Road, Kingston, which had a freehold guide price of £250,000+, and a 4-bedroom house called Montella on Marlborough Road, Ventnor, with a freehold guide price of £220,000-£230,000.

Staff not paid wages due on 20/10/2022 had to apply through insolvency service for monies owed loyal staff and residents treated applaudingly promised we would be paid our final wages it didn’t happen. At start of covid we had to watch as 7 residents got covid and died within 4 weeks and we couldn’t do anything about it also had to stand by as residents stating we don’t want to go left for the final time with both residents and staff in tears. What a way for the elderly residents and loyal staff some with many years of service to be treated. In April 2021 seven gables was taken over by church lake care they have now closed all 7 of their homes in the south keeping all the northern homes with hundreds of staff made redundant.
