Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault in Cowes which left a man in his 40s with a broken wrist and facial injuries.
The incident took place on Medina Road, near the Floating Bridge, between 22:00-22:40 on Sunday night.
Hampshire Constabulary say that the victim was assaulted by another man. He then spoke to a lady in the local area, who is suspected to have witnessed the assault take place.
Although Police don’t currently have a description of this lady, they are appealing directly to her to make contact to describe what she saw. In addition, officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the assault on Sunday night to get in touch.
A 35-year-old man from East Cowes has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been bailed until 26th April.
