The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in the heart of Cowes this afternoon (Monday).
The yellow and green helicopter was seen to touch down at Northwood Park shortly before 14:25.
It’s understood that flying doctors and paramedics have been called to assist the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with an urgent medical emergency in the town.
UPDATE @ 15:54 – A patient has been airlifted directly to Southampton General Hospital.
The helicopter departed from Northwood Park at just before 15:30.
