The flying doctors of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have been scrambled to a medical emergency in Ashey on the outskirts of Ryde this afternoon (Sunday).
The yellow and green air ambulance has landed in a field off Ashey Road, between Hazlegrove Farm and Ashey Garage.
It touched down at 14:50, having been alerted to the situation at a nearby dwelling sometime around 14:30.
An ambulance crew, rapid response paramedic and operational commander from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are also in attendance.
UPDATE @ 15:26 – The air ambulance has now lifted off from Ashey, but has not conveyed the patient.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service is now also standing down.
