The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance landed in Chessell off Middle Road this morning (Friday) in response to a medical emergency in the area.
The flying doctors landed in a field beside Broad Lane at around 10:30 to provide assistance to a Co-Responder from Freshwater and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
It’s thought the incident came at a time of high-pressure for the local ambulance service, who were also dealing with other serious emergencies elsewhere on the Island.
The patient was not conveyed.
