UPDATED: Emergency services including the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have responded to Ventnor this afternoon (Monday) where it is reported that a stabbing has taken place.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a man has run into a pub in Ventnor High Street presenting with a stab wound.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are on scene and the air ambulance crew have landed at Salisbury Gardens.
UPDATE @ 16:14 – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that at 13:44 officers received a report of a man on the High Street in Ventnor suffering from a stab wound.
A 26-year-old man from Ventnor has been flown to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance where he is receiving treatment. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Police say the injuries are thought to have been caused elsewhere, not at The Blenheim pub where the man arrived seeking help.
