UPDATED: AIR AMBULANCE CALLED TO EAST COWES


The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in East Cowes this morning (Sunday). 

A medical emergency has prompted the flying doctors to respond to the Island from their base in Andover.

The yellow and green helicopter has touched down at Victoria Grove recreation ground, where 2 ambulances are waiting.

UPDATE @ 12:20 – 1 patient has been flown to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth suffering from a cardiac complaint, Island Echo understands.

The air ambulance is now returning to base.

Total waste of time and cash. That grenade would not explode if you threw it on the log fire. Rustier than a Ford Cortina ONLYreason there was any bang was because of the UXB detonation device.

Yet gives the police fireman and uxb guys more of our tax payers cash in Sunday overtime.

And keeps the dim public happy in imagining some child blown to smitherens has been averted.

God help us if there ever is another war.
