Local charity Age UK Isle of Wight will celebrate their 50th birthday in 2023 – but they need your help.
Much has changed in that time, but not their commitment to providing advice, information and support to people over 50 on the Island.
As they celebrate their Golden Anniversary, they are also looking forward and developing a new strategic 5-year plan and need the help of the public to do so.
Rachel McKernan, Age UKIW Chief Executive Officer said:
“ We want to understand what you, our older residents need, what you are worried about, and what we can do to address these worries.
The information you share with the charity will be anonymous and they are asking you questions about 6 areas of your lives. National research has identified these as the things that older people are most worried about.
You can take part in the survey online by visiting www.ageukiw.org.uk or a paper copy can be requested by simply calling Age UK Isle of Wight on 01983 525282 to receive a copy and a FREEPOST return envelope in the post.
Age UK Isle of Wight will share the insights we developed and what we are doing in response to the strategy in April 2023. We will also be sharing these anonymous insights with IW Council Public Health Department to help inform the development of their IW Older Person’s Strategy.
The deadline for the responses is 23rd October.
