UPDATED: Strong winds are affecting cross-Solent travel tonight (Saturday) with a suspension of service for Hovertravel.
The Ryde to Southsea Route has been brought to a halt due to the adverse conditions. An update is expected at 19:00.
All other services from operators Wightlink and Red Funnel are currently operating to timetable.
A yellow weather warning is in force for the Isle of Wight this weekend, as previously reported by Island Echo.
Further strong winds with gusts of up to 60mph are expected tomorrow.
UPDATE – Hovertravel’s services are now back in operation.
