Ability Dogs 4 Young People Isle of Wight has announced that their new charity shop is to open at 10:00 on Monday 5th August 2024. The new shop located at 23 Crocker Street, Newport, PO30 5GA replaces the previously located Pyle Street venue and is set to be a valuable addition to the community. The shop is well stocked and offers a wide range of goods spread across 2 spacious floors – complete with a few customer parking spaces. From furniture and accessories to home goods and unique finds, there’s something for everyone. Ability Dogs 4 Young People are always delighted to accept donations, and with help from their dedicated team of friendly staff and volunteers are ready and willing to assist. For added convenience, they offer a collection service for donated items from anywhere on the Island, making it easier than ever to support their cause. Carol Court, Ability Dogs 4 Young People CEO says:
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome the community to our new shop. The support we receive through our charity shops is vital in funding our work with disabled young people on the Isle of Wight. Without the generous support of the Island community, we would not be able to achieve the amazing success stories that continue to build our positive reputation. We hope the new and improved location of our Newport shop will attract even more visitors and supporters.”
Funds raised in the Charity’s shops go directly towards resourcing and training the expanding Ability Dog team, enabling them to fulfil the ever-growing waiting list. There is a concerning increase in the number of young, disabled people on the Isle of Wight who are facing isolation and increasing challenges in living with their disability. The shop will be open 6 days a week, from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00, providing ample opportunity for shoppers to explore and find great deals while supporting a worthy cause. Every purchase and donation directly contributes to training the Ability Dogs, who play a crucial role in transforming the lives of disabled young people and their families. The Crocker Street Charity Shop in Newport joins 2 other Shanklin based Ability Dogs 4 Young People Charity Shops in providing increasing opportunities for the community to actively support the Charity in its life changing work on the Island
