Police are appealing for witnesses to yesterday’s serious collision in Wootton in which a 90-year-old woman was run over.
As previously reported by Island Echo, emergency services were called shortly before 16:30 to reports of a collision involving a BMW X1 and a female pedestrian.
The 90-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital. She remains in a life-threatening condition.
The driver of the BMW, a 75-year-old man, was uninjured.
Investigations into the collision are ongoing and officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened.
