A 26-year-old man from Ventnor has been arrested following an incident that saw 3 people assaulted in Newport last night (Thursday).
Several police units responded to an address in Newport High Street at 23:46 following reports of a disturbance.
3 people were assaulted during the incident including a 25-year-old woman, a 50-year-old woman, and a 23-year-old woman.
The 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was taken to Newport Police Station’s nearby custody suite where he remains at this time.
Waiting for people to jump on this and say poor bloke, he’s probably got mental health issues!!!!

Not many people on here would say that. The article doesn’t say what the situation is or whether the women were known to him. It might be a domestic situation where they are all known to each other, or if it was something just done to strangers, then he needs taking off the streets.
Last week a bloke was taken to court for drink driving and rolling his car in ventnor. Then continued to be abusive to people who tried to help!
People are sticking up for him because he has mental health issues!!! Dosent matter that he near ran over a few people or he could of killed someone!
