A laundrette in Shanklin has released CCTV footage and images of 2 men who are being sought in connection with an alleged theft of coins from the business’ pay-to-use washing machines.
At 15:22 yesterday afternoon (Sunday), 2 unidentified males were seen entering Chapel Laundry on Clarendon Road.
CCTV footage captures the males acting suspiciously and seemingly tampering with the laundrette’s washing machines.
It’s alleged that 4 cash boxes were broken into with the money inside taken.
Anyone with information as to the identities of either men should contact the launderette on 01983 408280, or call Police on 101.

Lowlife are getting older, and to think they maybe parents that are dragging up children….absolute failures in life that have nothing to celebrate or achievements to pass onto their children…
obviously not too observant !!
That’s why the term thick has thieves are used….
Hope they get caught, how selfish and scum to take money from the only resource for those who can’t have or are poor or homeless to do laundry, maybe has put machines out of action or maybe business will close. When caught punishment should be 200 hrs community service hand washing people’s clothes etc.
Wouldn’t want their grubby hands on my washing ,!!!!
Thieving scumbags , total disrespect for other people, trying to make a living .
Someone knows them , Police Knocking on their doors soon ..
Can’t plead not guilty on this job , well done for posting video’s .
Their ugly mugs are quite clear on CCTV for everyone to see. Hope they are recognised and arrested. But I suppose not very much will be done, as usual due to the magistrates handing out nothing but slaps on the wrists!
Looks to me like imported scum! We probably housed them when they came over on a boat!
Assuming that was irony as they look like typical British Boomers to me.
Particularly the fat one.
Bit harsh isn’t it? Portly might be a kinder term to use.
Red Funnel or Wightlink?
One thing for sure they certainly won’t be making a clean getaway
Looks like they’re just money laundering.
They thought it was some magic trick with the sheet? Scum
they had to get their next drink from somewhere
think the footwear gives it away…
Clearly we’re watching Dumd and Dummer at work. I’m guessing holiday makers since they don’t care about their faces being recorded on CCTV. Check the local camp sites, your probably find them on the fruit machine’s spending others peoples money!
No cheap puns about money laundering or the thieving scumbags making a ‘clean’ getaway. Hope they’re caught soon and haven’t already fled back to some rat infested gutter on the mainland where they evidently crawled out of.
Looking straight at the camera – not very clever. Hopefully someone knows these thieving idiots. If you know them then inform the police straightaway (You can do this without giving your name)
Laughed my head off, never seen two goon’s acting so ridiculous in my life, I am sure someone must know them perhaps the local News channel needs a copy of the video, at least others may have a laugh at their expense.
good old island boys must be from Ryde
Yup, thought the same.
I didn’t realize there was another episode of Laurel and Hardy.
Off with the Gooleys !!
Laundrette money by day, probably Catalytic Converters by night. What a pair. I bet they are responsible for all manner of theft all over the island.
You’ve all got it wrong, these are two innocent men sent to do the laundry but haven’t a clue how to use a washing machine! Rather than going home to the missus with unwashed clothes and admitting they can’t use a washing machine they’re stood trying to work them out lol
your an idiot. The business lost money I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if they took your hard earned cash.
Had to laugh at the one in the white shirt holding up a jacket to try and cover his mates theft on face book vid bloody idiots absolutely brain dead they got to get caught surely named and very shamed plonkers
