Wightlink is advising of delays of up to 2 hours on its Yarmouth-Lymington car ferry service this morning (Monday).
An earlier technical issue has been blamed for causing the significant disruption.
Passengers were warned earlier on that services may be delayed by 60 minutes, but that has now doubled to 2 hours.
The exact nature of the technical issue is unclear.
I just wish they would treat us as educated people and say what the problem really is, just saying technical problems is not enough.
Well I never, disruption to ferry services, same old story, on and on.
It’s the most expensive crossing and the most unreliable service, when I visit my mum who lives in Burly new forest, I always us Red Funnel….
Surely these days a vessel such as the Condor Rapide would be more reliable and faster than both the Wightlink and Red Funnel slow boat to China rust buckets.
