Firefighters are tackling a dishwasher fire at a property in Ventnor this evening (Sunday).
2 appliances from Ventnor and Shanklin are on scene at Dudley Road, where fire crews have entered a domestic dwelling.
2 breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel jet have been utilised to contain and extinguish the fire, which broke out at around 19:45.
It’s understood that entry was forced.
The road is currently blocked whilst Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service deal with the incident.
A duty fire officer is also on the scene.
UPDATE – Firefighters have now been stood down from the incident and have returned to their home stations.

Good job this wasn’t like many people do have it on overnight ,these along with washing machines are automatic but not to be left unattended .
And please make sure you got smoke / heat detectors that have been tested on regular basis.
