39-year-old Timothy Brown and 29-year-old Louise Spence have both been charged with wounding with intent and aggravated burglary following an incident at a property on East Hill Road in Ryde on Friday.
As first reported by Island Echo, firearms officers from both sides of the Solent were deployed to Station Road, Brading on Friday night. It then transpired that the armed officers spent the weekend searching for 3 suspects. 3 individuals were subsequently arrested.
Forensic investigators from the mainland spent Saturday afternoon collecting evidence from the scene where a trail of blood could be seen outside the block of flats.
Now, officers investigating the incident – understood to be a stabbing – have charged Timothy Peter Brown, 39, of no fixed abode, and Louise Victoria April Spence, 29, of Station Road, Brading. A third man, a 27-year-old from Ryde, has been released with no further action.
The trio have been remanded in custody to appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court today (Tuesday), where it is expected the case will be sent to the Crown Court.

Police should just shoot any such low life. Never will change, only for the worse. And will produce a succession of equally vile clones in all likelihood to ensure the ‘next’ generation have even more such delightful beings to contend with.
