2 men from Cornwall have been arrested on suspicion of numerous offences after a crossbow, air gun, a knife and Class A drugs were discovered in a vehicle on the outskirts of Newport last night (Tuesday).
Officers stopped a red Vauxhall Vectra on Parkhurst Road shortly after 19:30. When they searched the vehicle a number of weapons were found including a knife, a crossbow and an air gun.
A 25-year-old man and a 17-year-old man, both from Cornwall, were arrested at the roadside on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a controlled class A drug and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
The duo remain in custody at this time and the vehicle has been seized.































































































Let’s hope this is a warning to all the drug taking scum that it’s wrong. As for the weapons, they should be charged with intent to threaten. Crush the car and sentence them.
