THANK ISLE OF WIGHT NHS X
Can we have that in english please
I am sorry, but I have been to St Mary’s Newport many times, it is a filthy place. There was ( probably still is ) A hand print on the inside lift door, been there for years.. What I disliked the most there is I caught a very bad infection in my leg whilst in there, and had to be shunted off to other hospitals to get it sorted. Too many doctors and nurses plus all the other staff, go to work in their uniforms.. who knows what infections they take into hospital with them. Filthy hospital… suits Newport, as it is the same, in my opinion.
The lifts at St Mary’s take almost all the traffic in the hospital, staff, patients, visitors, etc, etc., and should be cleaned several times a day, and deep cleaned regularly.
How horrific?! What sort of age group ? Also, surely in the most central part of town, with banks and nightlife, there must be some CCTV ?
Ryde council could not afford to man the cctv years ago…
I know what happened to him was bad . But why is a 16 year old out at that time in the morning?
Parents probably think it’s ok for their 16 year old to be out and about at that time. Though understand this, a 16 year old is a minor, a child, so in my opinion should definitely not be out on the streets at this time. Should be at home, safe!
Not many 16 yr olds are anything like actual children, Certainly not nowadays.
First things that come to mind… drugs or cottaging… also where were the Police ? Surely a night patrol would have spotted whomever wandering around at that time of morning.. but hey ! Maybe I am just old.
I must be out of touch, but a 16 year old wandering around town at 2 o’clock in the morning? Or is that normal these days?
Really?? I’m 64 and I was always out at that age. I was also working and a year later got a driving licence! Talk about nanny state. Treat 16 year olds as kids and they’ll never grow up.
What was a 16 year old child yes I mean child doing out at 2am.
you can join the military at 16, you have the right of consent – so no, you are not a child at 16
Exactly. Ludicrous to maintain that people of that age are children, but if some of the do gooders had their way, they’d be classed as children until they’re 25 yrs old. They can get married at 16, used to be even younger, they can have grown up relations at 16, legally, yet they have to be classed as children. A child in my mind should not be someone having adult relationships but they are able to by law. So they should not be classed as children at 16.
Yes, you can join the military at 16, however you need parents/guardians consent and after training you will then be baby sat in barracks and not allowed to deploy on operations, the real time in service begins on their 18th birthday. Also they subject to a curfew in place, subject to disciplinary action if found out of camp at 2am.
Why do people comment before knowing the facts?
I know what happened was bad but why was a 16 year old out at that time in the morning?
As awful as it is that a young man was seriously assaulted, this sounds like there’s a bit more to it.
Nothing good happens on streets after midnight
Nothing good happens on the streets of Ryde!
I think I recognise the man by the description. If he had arms and legs and hair then it’s definitely him.
