2 women aboard a 38ft yacht that had engine trouble were given a welcome tow into Cowes Harbour yesterday evening (Tuesday).
The women radioed for help when the yacht was west of Ryde Middle Buoy and drifting in the ebb tide.
The lifeboat launched at 18:37.
After putting volunteer crew members aboard the striken yacht, it was towed to Trinity Landing in Cowes.
The lifeboat returned to station at 19:45.

Another possible disaster avoided by the action of the lifeboat team, brilliant.
Yawn……
More like a free towing service for the rich.
