A woman who fell from a sea wall had to be rescued by Coastguards in Gurnard this afternoon (Friday).
The Needles Coastguard Rescue Team and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked by Solent Coastguard at 13:35 to provide assistance to the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service at Gurnard.
Reports were received that a female had fallen and injured herself from a height.
The casualty was packaged onto a stretcher and carried over difficult, rocky terrain to the awaiting ambulance for onward conveyance to St Mary’s Hospital.
The incident was concluded by 14:30.
