Police are investigating an assault on a woman in Wootton yesterday evening (Thursday).
Officers were called at 20:10 to reports that a woman in her 20s had been pulled off of her bicycle.
The incident occurred just off Wootton High Street.
A local area search was conducted in the vicinity of New Road, but no arrests have been made at this time.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
Was it just an innocent cyclist pulled off her bike by some nutter? Or a cyclist riding their bike on the pavement (or maybe nearly riding into someone) which annoyed someone who’d had enough of trying to dodge them and just flipped out this time? I mean, the news report is not giving any details about the circumstances. If there is a nutter on the loose pulling random people off bikes, then shouldn’t the public be alerted to be careful?
