Detectives on the Isle of Wight are investigating reports of a man urinating on a car in Sandown, before later returning to the same area and threatening members of the public with a knife.
Shortly before 21:00 on Saturday night the wanted man, who is described as white and around 6ft tall, was seen urinating against the parked car on Leed Street at its junction with St John’s Road. Just 15 minutes later the same man is said to have returned to the area with a knife before making threats to nearby members of the public and causing damage to two cars. He then left the area.
The offender is described as white, around 6ft tall and of a thin/proportionate build. He is thought to be aged in his mid 20s and has short, dark wavy hair.
DC Kelly Thorne, said:
“I’d like to trace several members of the public who were in the road at the time of the incident. We know there was a man in the area who was walking a large white dog, a man wearing a red jacket and two teenage boys carrying backpacks.
“We’d really like to speak to these people so they can tell us what they saw. Were you approached by this man? Did you see what happened? I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to us in confidence.”
