Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision that took place in Oakfield last night (Monday). As first reported by Island Echo, Police were called at around 19:19 following reports of a crash on High Street in Oakfield near the junction with Harding Road. At the scene, a silver BMW 3-series had collided with a Ford Fiesta, and the driver of the Fiesta – a female – reported minor injuries. The two male occupants of the BMW fled the scene on foot after threatening a male occupant of the Fiesta with a knife. A spokesperson from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“We are appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact us. “We would especially like to speak to anyone with relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage of the incident. “Please contact us by calling 101 or making an online report via our website, using reference 44230505888.”
