Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault against a 50-year-old woman on the cycle track near to Shanklin and Sandown Golf Course on Tuesday (23rd February).
At about 10:40 on Tuesday morning the 50-year-old woman was walking along the cycle path when she tried to get hold of her dog, which was near another woman’s feet. It is alleged that the dog-owner was hit by the woman with a walking pole.
Officers say they would like to speak to the woman to establish what happened.
The woman is described as white, aged 50-60 years old and around 5′ 7″ tall. She is said to be on slim build with short, wavy and mousey grey hair. She was wearing a black, baggy tracksuit with white stripes, black top, walking boots or trainers and had a black backpack and bright blue walking poles.
